The GCam, a big step forward in road safety training

The GCam is an exceptional training tool, mainly for trainings on the public road. Two minuscule cameras will be fixed to the car’s windscreen. One will be aimed at the driver and one at the road ahead. They are combined with G-sensors and linked to a computer who will register both the forces the vehicle is subjected to and the images captured by the cameras.

The whole is recorded for each candidate. Moreover, the instructor has the possibility to point out the most interesting or dangerous situations so that he can comment on those during the debriefing. The instructor can select the images he wishes to review by simply clicking on the graph presented on the screen.

The driving style of the trainee can be completely analysed : soft or hard accelerations, preventive or sudden braking and even G-forces in all the bends and on crossroads !

The analysis of the driving style will allow to put forward the environmental respect of each driver. The way of driving generates indeed a more or less important consumption and, in this way, more or less savings and aggressions towards the environment.

After a first run, individual aims can be determined as well as means to fulfil them.
